How to Set Up Payments with Stripe

To accept credit and debit card payments from your customers, you need to connect your bank account to Stripe. It's a secure, one-time process that enables automatic payouts.

Step 1: Go to Your Payment Settings

Navigate to your dashboard and click on Settings in the sidebar. From there, select the Payments tab.

Step 2: Connect with Stripe

In the "Card Payments & Payouts" section, you'll see a button that says Connect with Stripe. Click this to start the process. You will be securely redirected to Stripe's website to complete the setup.

Step 3: Complete the Stripe Onboarding Form

Stripe is a regulated financial service and is required by law to collect certain information to verify your identity. You will typically need to provide:

  • Your legal name and contact information.
  • Your bank account details (BSB and Account Number) where you want to receive payouts.
  • Depending on your business structure, you may need to provide an NZBN or other business details.

Once you've filled out the form, you'll be automatically redirected back to your Lemon Stand dashboard.

You're Ready to Go!

That's it! Your account is now set up to accept card payments. You can manage your Stripe account, view your balance, and see upcoming payouts at any time by clicking the Manage Stripe Account button in your payment settings.
